Pearson Fuels says its 2025 E85 Day was a resounding success, with E85 daily volumes significantly higher than average for participating stations.

For 24 hours starting at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 5, E85 was available for just $1.85 per gallon at 267 participating Pearson Fuels stations statewide — giving drivers the opportunity to fuel up with a lower-carbon, more affordable alternative to gasoline.

In addition to the promotional pricing, Pearson Fuels hosted legislative staffers at multiple locations throughout the day to further educate decision-makers about the important role E85 can play in California’s transportation landscape. The conversations helped highlight the economic and environmental benefits of flex fuel and reinforced the company’s commitment to expanding sustainable fuel options statewide.

“Pearson Fuels was proud to partner with the hundreds of E85 retail customers that participated in this year’s second annual E85 Day,” said Doug Vind, managing member of Pearson Fuels. “In providing E85 for $1.85, those motorists who filled up yesterday saved an average of $2.50 per gallon versus regular unleaded gasoline and were able to spend that money on other bills or essentials.”

Station owners who participated in the event also shared their enthusiasm, noting the strong turnout and customer interest.

“We were excited to participate in E85 Day again this year after the success we saw in 2024,” said Adam Sparks, G&M Oil Company general manager. “E85 continues to be a tremendous value-add for our company and customers.”

“This was a great opportunity for drivers to save money at the pump,” said David Natanzi, who had ten sites participating in this year’s event. “We saw a substantial uptick in traffic to our participating E85 locations; these kinds of events are win-win for everyone involved.”

Vind said he was thankful for the station owners who partnered to make the day possible, and to every driver who showed up in support of E85. “We know Californians have a choice when it comes to how they fuel their vehicles, and we’re grateful for those who choose flex fuel as a cleaner, more affordable way to drive.”
